Lithotripsy - PhomedLaser

ThuLight SuperPulsed Laser System

Laser therapy can accurately remove or vaporize excess tissue during prostate surgery, reduce bleeding and shorten recovery time; during lithotripsy, it can efficiently crush stones and reduce damage to surrounding tissues.

Application of Level 4 Laser Therapy in Prostate and Lithotripsy

Disruptive Innovation: Ushering in a New Era in Medical Lasers

The Thulium-Doped Fiber Laser Therapy System utilizes a preferred 1940nm wavelength and advanced pulse train technology to combine lithotripsy with soft tissue vaporization, cutting, and coagulation. Dual-pedal operation allows for flexible switching between different operating modes, supporting a variety of surgical approaches and suiting surgeons of varying skill levels and experience.

A versatile laser energy platform in one unit

Combining both soft and hard components, this unit offers both lithotripsy and soft tissue vaporization and cutting capabilities. Lithotripsy achieves in-situ, contact-based, and powderized lithotripsy. Equipped with a thinner and more flexible optical fiber, each laser is easily accessible, ushering in a new era in lithotripsy. For soft tissue cutting, it offers precise cutting, fast operation, umbrella-shaped hemostasis, complete pathology, and rapid recovery.

Preferred 1940nm wavelength

Laser energy is transmitted through water. The 1940nm wavelength is at the peak of the water absorption coefficient, twice that of solid-state thulium lasers and four times that of holmium lasers. Laser energy is better absorbed by water, resulting in faster soft tissue vaporization and cutting or lithotripsy.

Leading pulse train technology

During a single pulse, multiple continuous small bubbles are generated, the energy distribution is more uniform, the pressure on the stone is smaller, the stone is removed in situ, and the hit rate is high.

Low Energy, High Frequency, Long Pulse Width

A lower single pulse energy of 0.025J, a longer pulse width of 32ms, and a higher pulse frequency of 2200Hz. This sophisticated combination of low energy, high frequency, and long pulse width effectively achieves rapid, pulverized lithotripsy.

Thinner optical fiber

The coupled spot size is ≤50μm, compatible with thinner and more flexible optical fibers of 150μm, 100μm, and 50μm, reaching all parts of the kidney. This increases the water flow channel, improving intraoperative flexible endoscope bending angles and perfusion effects, effectively reducing intrarenal pressure. Thin optical fibers offer higher energy density, greater lithotripsy efficiency, and improved pulverization.

Wider clinical indications

It is suitable for the lithotripsy of urinary stones, the treatment of urinary tract tumors and other soft tissue cutting.

High-energy soft tissue cutting, safe and reliable

  • The 1940nm fiber-optic thulium laser has a shallow tissue penetration depth and precise cutting, making it suitable for treating bladder and renal pelvis tumors.
  • The laser's concentrated energy reduces the temperature rise time on the tissue surface, allowing tissue to quickly reach the vaporization temperature of 100°C or the 60°C required for protein denaturation and hemostasis. This results in high vaporization and cutting efficiency and excellent hemostasis.
  • The laser's high water absorption allows the laser energy to act only on the tissue it contacts, minimizing damage to surrounding tissue.
